Since joining the wedding academy in May 2017, I have secured a booking to style and arrange all of the flowers for a wedding to be held this year, two styled photo shoots and I’m currently preparing to hold a floral workshop myself. Throughout this course the guidance, support and information given to me whilst studying online has been incredibly valuable.

This course is perfect for anyone with a love of all things pretty who wants to develop their creative skills across the areas of styling and floral design in the event industry. We attract a range of students from those who have no prior experience and want to develop their creative skills with a view to starting their own styling and floral business, all the way through to students who are already working in a creative industry such as interior design, photography, or fashion who are branching out to add an alternative income stream to their existing business or are planning a change in direction in their business. It is ideal for a creative who wants to be an event styling specialist. In this course we teach you about the 'business' of flowers and deep dive into marketing your business as a Floral & Event Stylist.
Floral design is a method of using fresh flowers as a key resource in your event styling. Our course introduces you to traditional and modern techniques that will allow you to design and create your own fresh floral table centrepieces, installation pieces, bridal bouquets, as well as ideas on how to use flowers in other decorative ways in an event.
All our courses are online which gives you the flexibility to learn anywhere and at times that suits you. So you really can fit your course around your lifestyle. Many of our students study whilst having a full time job and/or looking after a family. You have up to 2 years to complete your course although it can be completed in 6 months or less.
This course contains ‘how to’ video demos and styling examples so you can follow along and practice your floral and styling skills at home. This course does include a practical component, which means that you will need to purchase flowers to complete your designs. Our assignments also require you to put what you learn into practice, creating moodboards, storyboards, colour palettes, layout plans, budgets, client proposals and more.
No previous floral knowledge is necessary for this course. In this course we provide you with the basic concepts of handling fresh flowers – how to source, handle and prepare them. For each of the main floral techniques we then provide step by step video tutorials with full commentary for you.
