Study Options
The Academy has made a commitment to 'Go Green' and we hope you will support us and do the same. As part of our ongoing Green Policy the Academy no longer offers printed workbooks as part of our course material. Instead we send you a CD which contains ALL of your course materials, assignments, podcasts and video tutorials for you to print out and listen to as you require.
E-learning
All our courses are offered by E Learning through our Virtual Campus. E Learning is learning that takes place in an electronically simulated environment such as our Virtual Campus and is web-based. It uses a variety of media like audio, text, virtual environments, video, and animation. E Learning, in some ways, is even better than classroom learning methods as it is a one-on-one learning method, it is self-paced and it has an experiential-learning format. E Learning has the capability of immersing its students completely within an environment most conducive to learning. This sets it apart from classroom-style learning.
All you need to access our Virtual Campus is a computer or laptop with internet connection. Whether you are using a PC or MAC you will still be able to have access as our courses have been formatted for both systems.
Upon enrolment you will receive a login and password to our Virtual Campus that will take you to your own personalised online classroom. From here you will be able to access all of your course materials, as well as links to all the other main areas of the Campus such as our Job Board and Article Library.
You will also receive regular emails updating you on what is happening within the Academy and informing you of any new texts, videos or blogs that we have found that are industry specific.
Within the Virtual Campus you will find:
- Personal student login and password where you will be able to access all your course materials and downloads, submit your assignments and receive your grades and feedback sent to you by your tutor.
- A tutor lounge where you can have live chat with your tutor
- Online workshops and webinars
- Virtual Library full of resources
- Job Board to keep up to date with all the latest job and work experience opportunities
On average, if you are working full time our certificate courses takes about 6-9 months to complete using this form of study. Our Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses generally take a little longer.
All our courses are self-paced so you can take as much time as you need to complete them, although your course must be completed within 2 years of purchase in order to gain a certificate.
There are no exams with any of our courses as you are given assignments at the end of each unit. Your assignment will be graded by your tutor and feedback will also be provided with each grade.
You can commence your course at any time and will be allocated your own tutor throughout the duration of the course.
We encourage you to submit all your assignment through the Virtual Campus; however we can also accept assignments via post or email. Your tutor is also available to answer questions and provide guidance throughout your study both via personal email and in the Tutor Lounge.
