Susana Esteves Pinto, a curator of quality and spark, studied communication design and cultural management.
During her first professional years, she worked in animated fils, illustration, puppetry, production and graphic design.
By 2004, she decided to create her own brand, Wise_Up, and began developing a small illustrators agency (Wise_Up Team) and a wedding invitations and stationary label (WIse_Up Weddings).
One thing led to another and in 2010 she created Simplesmente Branco, that grew to become the best-selected wedding directory and inspiration blog about weddings in Portugal.
Along with the website came S Magazine, a digital wedding publication that also contributed to brightening up the Portuguese wedding scene.
After 6 years editing Simplesmente Branco, and realizing that Portugal had gathered a very impressive collection of venues and vendors for beautiful, warm, thoughtful weddings,
Susana founded The Destination, a website about destination weddings in Portugal.
In 2015 she co-wrote a book, a practical guide for planning a wedding, called “Queres casar comigo? – guia prático para um dia muito feliz”.
And a year later, hosted the first edition of The Destination – international wedding conference.
She has a thing for shoes, books and art postcards, lives in Lisbon and loves the urban rush and the latest buzz.
